hi everyone the scylla here beautifulsunny day here in the Pacific Northwestit's been warm we haven't had rain for acouple of weeks so it's been pretty drybut I don't mind because all my warmloving plants such as the tomatoespeppers beans and zucchinis are doinggreat as well as the pumpkin patch sotoday I'm going to go over with what youcan plant for your fall garden or whatI'm growing for my full garden so I wentahead and sowed my peas about 10 daysago and they've already sprouted as wellas some as well as some bush beans soyou want to count back from the firstday of your frost and see how many weeksleft you have before the first day offrost hits especially if you're tryingto grow some frost tender plants thatcould be killed by frost but pretty muchwhat you can drill for your fall gardenis the same crops that you can grow inyour spring garden so any of the coolweather crops lettuce leafy greens likelettuce say spinach kale joy all theBrassica plants those do well in thefall in a fall garden as well as peassweet peas oriental Peas and even somebeans so they can mature within sixty toseventy-five days so if you get yourlegumes like the peas and beans in theground right now you could be harvestingsome before the first day of frost andalso you can even so some root cropscarrots radishes so those can go in theground between now and next month so asthe weather cools they will do better soas well as carrots that I say criteriaI'm not sure so anyways these are justsome of the crops that will be growingin our fall garden and I will provide alist below for you that way you don'tforget oh and I've also sowed mycilantro seeds already and they'vealready sprouted so that's another coolweather herbs that you can grow as wellas chives so even some spring onions andwhen you get closer to fall or beforefrost that's when you want to plant somegarlic cloves in the ground before thatforFrost so those are just some few thingsthat you can start planning on for yourfall garden let me know what you'replanning growing and maybe it'ssomething that I haven't grown beforeI'd love to know what you have plannedout for your fall garden so anyways letme show you what's running already andwe'll take a look so here are myoriental Peas it's been about 10-12 daysand they have grown already they'reabout 4 inches tall now I also sowedsome more nasturtiums these are divinepipes so it'll climb the trellis sothese four are pretty well and mostsoils they're not very picky so and theydon't require that require that much Sunso they'll do well in part shade hereare some bush beans like so these about12 days ago as well so they're poppingup already so since we're in the middleof summer you might want to keep yoursoil moist so that way the seeds willgerminate if you're planting them rightnow there's more right there these areactually pole beans I don't know if Isaid bush beans so they will be climbingthis trellis right here on the otherside of this trellis and garden bed aresome more oriental peas here are somecilantro seeds that I sowed about 10days ago so they're already popping upalready I've got in here and the shadeso to get about poppy four or five hoursof Sun cilantro can thrive and partshade and also do well during the coolseason so I have them here in the shadethat way they don't get scorched by theSun onto them next to our basic plantssince they both require similar girlconditions they both like moist soil andduring the summertime they both do welland the shade and also and the spot I'vegot some dahlias and you know I justread about them that the petals areedible as well as their tubers so I'mnot planning on eating them maybe usingsome flowers for decorating a cakeperhaps but I usually keep the tubers Iover went to them indoors that way theydon't freeze I just love having them inthe gardenhere are some spring onions these arefrom cuttingsright here so I never bought any seedsthese are just from the scraps that Ipurchased from the supermarket's overtwo months ago now and I guess cuttingback and they just keep producing for meso they do well in the fall also theseare my chives right there in that potand cut some more onion scraps that I'mregrowing if you guys watched any ofthose videos it's trying to regrowonions from scraps and here is someItalian parsley they actually do well inthe fall because they actually requiremoist moist soil just like cilantro andbasil there are some young kale plants Isow the seeds about two and half monthsago so this is another great leafy greenthat you can grow for your whole gardenyou can harvest the baby leaves as earlyas 30 days or you can let the mature upto sixty days here's the remaining ofour romaine lettuce so this is anotherleafy greens that you sow and you canharvest the young leaves as early as 30days as well spinach so even bok choy sothere are many leafy greens that you cansow right now between now in August andeven September and harvest the leek thebaby greens for eating a couple oflettuces are bolting here I think isthis butter lettuce and here's one ofour romaine lettuce so we'll be gettingsome more scenes so so far that's what'sgrowing in the garden I'll be sowingsome lettuce seed soon more kale spinachin the next few weeks and also if youhaven't grown pale before they are verycold hardy one of the cold hardy cropsthat you can grow throughout the winterand they are biennial so they'll keepproducing for you until next spring so Ihope that you guys found this videohelpful and enjoyed it and by the wayi'm on instagram if you don't know yet ipost pictures there there daily so ifyou haven't checked out my instagrampage I'll provide the link below andalso my facebook page as well as ourFacebook community group if you want tojoin us and show us your gardeningphotos or videos or knowledge that wouldbe great so thank you so much again forjoining me happy gardening
